BIKE RENTAL AND GUIDED RIDE POLICIES

The customer hereby rents bicycles from E-vass, subject to all terms and conditions of this agreement:

1. E-Bikes can be rented either in person or via booking@evass.gr. The rental day period starts at 7:30 and ends at 20:30. Late returns will incur an additional charge of 20€. Overnight rentals are not normally permitted unless previously agreed with an E-vass representative.

2. E-Bikes must be collected, personally from the E-vass base camp. Delivery of E-Bike/s is not available.

3. The E-Bike/s will be picked up on the day and time according to the booking or rental agreement. Rides will aim to leave on time and if the customer is later than 15min the group will depart, and no refund will be given.

4. At the end of the rental period the customer must return the E-Bike to an E-vass representative with the original rental contract form, and never to the Four Winds owners or staff.

5. Repair packs will be provided for all hires and carried by our guides. Additionally, our number will be provided for emergencies. Repairs done without the authorization of E-vass are not allowed and will not be refunded.

6. E-vass reserves the right to use photos and videos taken on rides by staff members for Social Media and Advertising. If you do not wish your photo or likeliness to appear please inform the staff before the ride.

RESERVATION, PAYMENT, DEPOSIT AND CANCELATION

7. E-Bike reservations should be made with 24 hours or more notice. As our E-Bikes are prioritised for guided rides early bookings are essential to guarantee availability.

8. Method of payment: Credit/Debit card or Cash ‐ Payment for the rented items is required to be made in full prior to the Guided Tour and/or Rental. The reservation is only confirmed once an E-vass representative has confirmed receipt of the payment via e-mail, phone or physically.

9. Riders under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian to make a hire or join a guided ride.

10. E-vass acknowledges that the riding of E-Bikes on off-road terrain presents an inherent risk of damage to the E-Bike/s. We accept that general wear and tear to the bike including flat tyres, chain or derailleur failures and damage to components caused by a crash are part of E-Biking off-road and will not impose any charges onto the customer. However, damage to the E-Bike/s due to negligent riding including but not limited to submersion of the E-Bike/s in water, structural damage to the frame, excessive damage from collision or road accidents will be the sole responsibility of the client, who will be charged the RRP for all broken or missing items. We, therefore, insist that clients do not put themselves or equipment at risk by always riding within their abilities, respecting traffic laws and avoiding riding along beaches or through bodies of water.

11. On delivery of the E-bike/s the customer must read, accept and sign the rental agreement. The customer will be asked for his/her passport details along with credit card details as a deposit for the rented equipment. At the end of the rental period, and E-vass representative will inspect the E-bike with the customer. As stated above if in breach of what E-vass defines as general wear and tear the customer accepts the charges for any missing or broken items at RRP.

12. Cancelations without charge are only admitted 3 working days before the programmed delivery time. Cancellations made within 3 working days of the delivery date are charged in full. Reservation no shows are charged in full and considered non‐refundable. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason.

13. No refund or credit will be made, for any given reason, for cancellations within 3 working days, early return of the bicycles or for cancellations of guided tours. The client understands and accepts that E-vass is not responsible for the client’s personal circumstances, sicknesses, weather conditions or for any event outside of E-vass direct control and can therefore not accept refund or credit requests made by the client for any of the above reasons. Exceptions to this policy can only be made if the client can provide adequate proof of a Covid-19 related incident.

*Adequate proof of Covid-19 related incident is only applicable if the customer’s holiday is cancelled by a third party (airline, hotel, etc.) or if the customer is self-isolating due to possible exposure to the virus, and not to cancellations made by the customer to their holiday.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

14. E-vass confirms that all its E-Bikes are presented to customers in immaculate working order set up by professional mechanics and whilst E-vass accept general wear and tear during the hire, any rental equipment returned with excessive damage will incur a charge to the client.
*See point 10 for the definition of what constitutes “wear and tear” and “excessive damage” or ask a staff member

15. The rented bicycles and equipment may only be used by the designated customer and the members of his/her party as mentioned in the Rental Contract.

16. The customer is obliged to take good care of the rented equipment and to protect it from damage, loss, or theft. In case of damage, loss or theft of the E-Bike/s, components, or any of its parts, E-vass will charge the customer the full cost of the missing items at RRP.

17. E-Bikes are rented with a high-security lock and the customer is obliged to always lock the E-Bike/s properly when unattended, passing the lock through the frame and attaching the E-Bike/s to something fixed to the ground like a post or fence, if allowed, or else, a bicycle parking. It is highly recommended to keep the E-Bike/s always secured. If rented overnight the E-Bike/s must be kept inside at all times they are at the customer’s accommodation.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

18. E-vass is not responsible for injury or damages caused to/by the client during the hire period.

19. The customer is responsible for adequate personal insurance coverage for risks that may occur during the rental period. E-vass is not liable for any claims for bodily injury or harm, accidents or loss of personal belonging caused by weather, sickness, or any other causes whatsoever beyond the control of E-vass.

20. The customer and his/her group must respect Greek traffic regulations. Any ticket or fine due to incorrect use of the bicycle will be completely assumed by the customer.

COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

In response to the pandemic, E-vass are carrying out measures that exceed government standards for cleanliness, disinfection and prevention of COVID-19 transmission.

We are providing to our guests and staff the following safety procedures:

Our bike tours are organized outdoors in uncrowded locations making it easier to conduct social distancing.

Group size on guided rides is a maximum of six (6) people unless the group is making a private booking for a family/group of people travelling together at which point it can be increased to eight (8) people.

Our guides are checked daily for any symptoms and before every tour. Guides are not allowed to perform a guided ride if they have a fever or any other symptom of the virus.

The guides will avoid any unnecessary physical contact and ask that you do the same.

Bike helmets, grips, displays and frequently touched surfaces on the bicycle, are carefully disinfected after every use and before guided rides.

We supply hand sanitiser on site for public use.

Worksite hygiene is performed regularly by cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, including doors, chairs, counters, or any frequently touched surfaces, before and after every guest.
